The brand focuses on Egyptian cotton sheets in the $65 to $100 price range. That alone makes them stand out. Most brands selling “real” Egyptian cotton charge $150 or more for a queen set. Threadmill undercuts that by a wide margin, which naturally raises a question.

The Authenticity Question

So is Threadmill’s Egyptian cotton actually Egyptian? Here’s what we know.

They claim their sheets are crafted with “authentic extra-long staple Egyptian cotton yarns” and carry an “accredited golden seal of authenticity.” That language suggests Cotton Egypt Association certification. But when we tried to verify this independently, we hit a wall.

Their website doesn’t list a CEA certification number. The Cotton Egypt Association’s public-facing brand directory doesn’t make verification straightforward for every brand. And Threadmill’s own “About” page focuses more on sustainability than sourcing transparency.

Here’s the thing. The sheets feel like quality cotton. They perform like quality cotton. Buyers overwhelmingly say they’re soft, cool, and durable. But “feels good” and “verified Egyptian” are two different things. If certification matters to you (and it should), this is where Threadmill falls short compared to brands like Pure Parima.

What You Actually Get

Threadmill offers two main weave styles in their Egyptian cotton line:

Solid Sateen (400TC) is their flagship. Smooth, slightly lustrous, and cool to the touch. The 400 thread count is reasonable for a sateen weave, and they use single-ply construction. Each set includes a flat sheet, a fitted sheet with a 16-inch deep pocket, and two pillowcases.

Damask Jacquard (400TC) has a subtle textured pattern woven into the fabric. Same thread count, same cotton, just a different look. It has slightly more texture than the plain sateen.

Pricing for a queen set runs about $75 to $90 depending on the color and any Amazon promotions running. King sets sit around $84 to $100. For reference, Pure Parima’s queen set is around $180, and Brooklinen’s is about $150. Threadmill is genuinely affordable.

Every set ships in a reusable cotton tote bag instead of plastic packaging. They’re also OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, which means the finished product has been tested for harmful substances. That’s a real certification we can verify.
